ELECTROMOD TO PRESENT UK SHOW DEBUTS AND HEADPHONE SYSTEMS AT NORTH WEST AUDIO SHOW 2026

Electromod will be bringing a wide range of head-fi products to the North West Audio Show 2026 at De Vere Cranage Estate on 27th and 28th June 2026, with several important UK show debuts alongside systems focused on high-end headphone listening.

The headline attraction will be the UK show debut of the Grell OAE2 headphones, designed by Axel Grell, the engineer behind several well known Sennheiser models including the HD 800, HD 650 and HD 600. Unlike conventional headphones, the OAE2 positions its drivers in front of the ears at a 30 degree angle rather than firing directly into the ear canal. This approach allows the sound to interact more naturally with the outer ear and creates a wider, more speaker-like presentation.

Electromod says the OAE2 is aimed at listeners who want the privacy and immediacy of headphone listening combined with a large, holographic soundstage that feels closer to listening to high-end loudspeakers or live music than traditional headphones.

IMPORTANT UK PREMIERE

The Grell OAE2 headphones will make their UK show debut at North West Audio Show 2026. Designed by Axel Grell, the headphones use an unusual angled driver arrangement intended to create a more natural stereo image and wider soundstage than conventional headphone designs.

Also making their UK show debut are the Écoute TH1 wireless headphones, which feature a built in valve preamplifier stage. Electromod says the design is intended to deliver a more fluid and expansive presentation than conventional wireless headphone systems.

The room will also feature demonstrations of Dan Clark Audio’s full headphone range, including the Noire X, XO, Stealth, Expanse and Corina models, covering both open and closed back designs.

Driving the systems will be a selection of DACs and headphone amplifiers from Topping, including the D900/A900 and DX9 Discrete. The latter uses Topping’s proprietary discrete 1-bit DAC architecture. Visitors will also be able to see two new sub £200 products from the company, the E50 II and DX1 II.

Additional electronics and accessories on demonstration include products from German headphone specialist Violectric, Dekoni Audio headphone accessories, and MS HD Power clean power products.
