CML Music will be presenting its new Etude Tri Linear Array (ETLA) loudspeaker at North West Audio Show 2026.
The ETLA is a floorstanding loudspeaker measuring 760mm high and 400mm wide, designed for use close to rear walls while maintaining high sensitivity, wide dynamic range and extended bass performance. With a sensitivity of approximately 99dB/W and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, the speaker is intended to work with low powered valve and solid state amplifiers.
ETLA LOUDSPEAKER
The ETLA uses three vertical linear arrays of four 85mm Balanced Mode Radiator drive units, together with a compression tweeter derived from the company’s Etude High Sensitivity Bipole loudspeaker.
The design employs twelve BMR drive units in total and is configured to provide wide dispersion, high sensitivity and bass extension. User adjustable settings allow tuning of both the presence region and tweeter output.
According to designer Dr Christopher Mark Liauw, the loudspeaker has been developed to combine the openness often associated with open baffle loudspeakers with the bass performance and output capability of a conventional cabinet design.
CABINET AND CONSTRUCTION
The cabinet is manufactured from 18mm CNC machined high density exterior grade MDF and features extensive internal bracing. CML Music says the enclosure has been designed to minimise cabinet coloration while maintaining fast transient response.
Network components are sourced from Jantzen, Clarity Cap, Bourns, Customcoilsnstuff and Vishay.

The ETLA will be available in a standard satin crackle finish, with piano lacquer and veneer finishes offered as options.
UK SHOW PRESENTATION
Visitors to North West Audio Show 2026 will be able to discuss the design and development of the ETLA directly with Dr Christopher Mark Liauw and learn more about the engineering approach behind the loudspeaker.
The ETLA is expected to retail at £3,000 per pair in its standard finish.
