The new flagship cartridge from the Japanese HiFi brand Nagaoka, the MP-700, will make its UK debut at this year’s North West Audio Show in the Mackenzie suite with MCRU.
NAGAOKA MP-700
The Nagaoka MP-700 is a moving magnet (MM) phono cartridge, specifically designed as a flagship model to celebrate the company’s 85th anniversary. It utilises Nagaoka’s “Moving Permalloy (MP)” design, which minimizes cantilever mass to enhance responsiveness and precision. The MP-700 features a high-strength boron cantilever, a micro-ridge diamond stylus, and a samarium cobalt magnet. Its durable ultra-duralumin body with three-layer shielding further contributes to its performance and longevity.
UK retail price is £1149.
The Nagaoka MP-700 cartridge will be on show in the Mackenzie suite with MCRU and Longdog Audio.
