Chord Electronics to Debut New Suzi Pre/Power Amp Combo at North West Audio Show

British audio manufacturer Chord Electronics will give UK showgoers their first chance to hear its latest pre/power amplifier pairing, the Suzi Pre and Suzi Amp, at this weekend’s North West Audio Show.

The new models feature the company’s ULTIMA amplification technology, including recently developed high-power vertical-gate-structure MOSFETs used in the Suzi Amp. These components were first revealed at High End Munich 2024 but will now make their UK debut at the Cheshire-based event.

The Suzi system, officially launched this month and now available globally, is built around a compact footprint but offers a range of setup options. These include a traditional analogue pre/power configuration with moving magnet/moving coil phono input and headphone output, or a digital-focused setup when paired with Chord’s Hugo 2 DAC. The addition of the 2go streamer can further expand the system into a networked playback system with Roon compatibility and onboard MicroSD storage.

Alongside the Suzi components, Chord will also be demonstrating other products from its range, including the Qutest DAC and Huei phono stage. Source equipment for the demonstration will come from Innuos and Rega, with Kerr Acoustics supplying the loudspeakers.
